Preparation

Note: Please ensure you are well hydrated before, during and after working with KAKAO. We also recommend that you do not consume caffeine, alcohol, or any heavy, fatty foods for a few hours before working with KAKAO.

 

Preparation for KAKAO SIGNATURE BLEND

 

If you do not have a blender that's safe for hot liquids, use a whisk. Please be careful when blending your KAKAO. Blending any hot liquid in a closed container causes the pressure within the container to increase. Make sure your blender is safe for hot liquids. No one needs scolding hot cacao all over their face or countertop. Using a blender will ensure the creamiest consistency. Our favorite blenders to use are a Vitamix w/ stainless steel top, A simple glass Oster blender or a high quality immersion blender.

We do not temper our drinking chocolate, meaning natural separation may occur.

Optional Additions: Maca powder, Lucuma powder, Rose powder, cinnamon

Our Signature Blend is made so that you don't have to add any other ingredients. Just hot water!

Sweetener options: Raw local honey, coconut sugar, panela or maple syrup
